About the Project: James Burkart Associates, Inc. developed a master plan and subsequent construction drawings for this 500 acre farm and family estate. The 26,000 square feet stone french country chateau was located on a hill overlooking the properties meadows and the meandering tar & chip driveway approaching from the distant country road. Fronting the house are stone retaining walls cut through the bank of a hill which forms a private vista to the final approach to the home. An ornate fountain welcomes guests in the arrival court. The rear of the home is terraced with perennial gardens and a swimmingpool with pool house. An outdoor fireplace adjacent the pool house warms guests on a cool night.
